DESCRIPTION:The California Alpine Club Holiday Party on Saturday\, December 9 is now in the planning stages! This year’s hosts will be Chef Tim Warden and Outings Co-chairs Renée Hamilton and Ernie Castiaux. \nSaturday\, December 9 \n5:00 p.m. – Happy Hour \n6:00 p.m. – Dinner Served \nWe are now looking for volunteers for the following positions: \n* Reception/welcome greeter & name tags \n* Refreshments bar host \n* Table set-up and room preparation \n* Clear dinner plates plus serve and clear dessert plates \n* Take down and put away tables and chairs in the social hall \n* Kitchen and dishwashing help \n* General lodge cleanup \nWe would also appreciate 10 light appetizers for our happy hour. \nIf you would like to volunteer for any of these requests\, please email Rani Devadasen at putri0525@aol.com. \nThis is where it changes: \nThe cost of this year’s event is $40/person. To reserve your place\, please send a check made out to ERNIE CASTIAUX to Ernie Castiaux to 5747 Shadow Ridge Drive\, Castro Valley\, CA 94552. PayPal and Venmo also accepted (erniecastiaux@icloud.com) . Reservations must be accompanied by payment. We are not taking event payment at the door. \nErnie is traveling before the holiday party\, so payment prior to November 25 would be greatly appreciated. \nProceeds for this event will go to our Alpine Lodge Capital Fund and will be used for Alpine Lodge maintenance and repairs. If you are able to include an additional donation\, a donation box will be at the reception desk (cash or check to CAC accepted). DESCRIPTION:Santa Claus is coming… to Tam!\n\nOn Saturday December 16th the CAC Holiday tradition of a Children’s Christmas party will take place at Alpine Lodge and you or the children in your lives are invited!  We love to introduce future generations to the beauty of our mountain and club\, with activities for all ages from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.  Bake cookies\, make winter crafts\, or hit the trails!  We may even get that special visitor from the North Pole (we will – bring a gift) and have a gingerbread house competition.\n\nCost for this event is Alpine’s overnight rates plus a food contribution TBD.  RSVP to Donata Bohanec  donatabo@hotmail.com or 707-591-3129.
